What is this?
Put in at Stinnet Landing, take out at south Springbrook landing.
This river section is a leisurely float of 4-5 hours, paddling with breaks is around 4 hours at normal water levels. There are several low grade rapids that are a great introduction moving water paddling with a few straight forward easy rapids. Packing in waterproof containers is advisable. Plastic boats are recommended as there are shoals and the rapids and riffles are rock gardens. Spray skirts for kayaks aren't necessary
This a day trip, We will meet at the Lake Hallie WalMart at 8:30 AM Saturday morning, Aug.19 in the smaller parking lot across from Culvers. I hope we can pool boats and take less vehicles. Always share expenses with your driver.
Bring your lunch/snacks and beverage of choice. Glass containers are not permitted on the river.
In the past we have stopped for a meal after the paddle.
