What is this?
Bike ride, approx 2 hrs from Kinninnic State Park outside River Falls to start of Paddle near downtown River Falls. Lock bikes, eat lunch. Paddle approx 2 hrs back to the Park. Load boats, drive back to bikes. Can meet downtown for outside dinner or see end of Art Festival.

More details:
This day is also the Annual 'Art on the Kinni' festival along the river trail in River Falls from 9-5pm. Arrive early if you would like to see some of the art first or stay after bike/paddle.

Meet at city Park near Art festival at 10:30am. Unload boats and lock up. Drive bikes to Kinnickinnic State Park. Park cars unload bikes, ride to start of paddle. Lock up bikes, rest/eat packed lunch. Paddle the Kinni to the State Park. Load boats and drive back to River Falls. Those interested can get dinner or visit Art Festival.

Pedal: Short steep beginning of less than 1/2 mile. Rest of bike ride is flat with some rolling hills on County Hwys with occasional cars and some residential streets.

Paddle: We recommend river kayak or plastic sea kayak, shorter preferable to longer. Canoes not recommended unless short. This part of the Kinni is winding/twisty and typically fast this time of year. The water is not very deep but loads of river rocks. Shorter boats negotiate twisting turns better. Rapids are beginner to intermediate. Not recommended for first time paddler.

Bring locks, cables, straps, etc to lock up boats while pedaling and then bikes while paddling.
