Pure Water Paddlers General Trip Information

Level

Trip levels are not to be confused with river difficulty classifications. This is just a guide to help you decide if a certain trip is right for your level of ability & experience.

Level 1
Suitable for all paddlers. If you have a boat, paddle, and PFD (life vest), we'll help you with the rest.
Level 2
Suitable for paddlers with basic self-rescue skills. Ability to run rivers with class I rapids.
Level 3
Intermediate to advanced paddlers. Solid rescue skills, ability to paddle for several hours at a stretch, adequate gear for conditions, such as cold water and waves.
