Many Thanks to all who participated in the Amazing Eau Claire clean up. We had people on t the water, at Brauns Bay area and the beach. Your efforts to clean up the Lake and shoreline are greatly appreciated.

Hi All

Planning on coming but 8:30 is pretty early to get there with some travel time involved. Any thoughts on how to negotiate a 9:00 arrival. there will be two of us coming.

Also, need to borrow a men’s medium life jacket. Does someone have one handy to bring or that I can pick up?

Update

The Amazing Eau Claire Clean up will be Saturday April 20 We will launch from Brauns

Bay because this is a nicer landing.

Plan on being on the water by 8:30. The weather forecast looks pretty good but the

water will be cold so wear appropriate clothing. The City will be picking up the garbage bags between 11:30 and 12:00.

Registration is now available for this event. It is not required but will be appreciated for planning purposes.

The Amazing Eau Claire clean up is a clean up of the shoreline of Half Moon Lake.

We will launch our boats from the landing on Half Moon Lake. In the past we have launched from the beach area (this is a more centralized location). The city will provide bags and trash grabbers. I recommend purchasing your own grabber if possible. They can be purchased at Menards. They are a handy tool to have around the house. The grabbers the city provides do not work well for water soaked garbage. Remember the lake water will be cold so wear appropriate cold water clothing. If the weather is not good for paddling we will pick up trash on the shoreline.

Dave and I are new members. What is the plan for clean up day? We are probably interested in helping.

Hey Angela, I tried to register for the cleanup, but when I click on the event it states registration is not required and I don't see an area to register.

The Amazing Eau Claire cleanup is coming up April 20Th. I want to register the group by April 5th. I am looking to get a rough count for the resgistration. We can do a cleanup along the shoreline if we have poor paddling weather. Please let me know if you are interested in participating in the clean up at my email hansonangelaj@charter.net.
