Training session "Getting the most out of you...

For those attending the session tomorrow, it will be helpful to have a yoga mat or towel along to sit on for the dry land portion. Make sure to bring your paddle(s), PFD, paddle gloves (optional) & drink.

Sat Aug 28th, Braun’s Bay, at 9 am

Session to last 60-90 minutes


Objectives;

Gaining power from your paddle stroke

Lessen fatigue

Paddle faster / longer / easier

Reduce chance of injury


Topics;

Hand placement on your paddle

The role of lower body & abs in a power stroke

Gripping your paddle

“Feathering” your paddle in windy conditions

Low angle vs high angle stroke

Getting into / out of your boat


There will be some demo time on land then practice time on the water


There will be extra boats there for someone who needs one or would like to try out a different boat
