Update: conditions
There are 8 of us registered to paddle. I checked water levels, they may be low but generally doable in kayaks.
I also checked with the RCPA president and was informed that there are reports from landowners that there are trees across the creek above and below the research station. Sounds like no one from the association has been on the water yet.
So, let's be prepared for snags/obstructions and be open minded that we are the first of the season adventurers on the creek. I'll bring a saw and rope.
Dress appropriately and remember there is a small portage around the dam. That big snag above the dam is probably still in place. Jenny #1 can show us how to get across :-).
I will also check for road detours before the trip. Heaven forbid if another bridge will be blocked!
