Paddles

Thank you to those of you who had expressed interest in camping/kayaking this next weekend at Brunet Island, but unfortunately I am cancelling this event due to Thunderstorms throughout the weekend. I am keeping everyone's safety in mind. Instead we will meet at the Altoona Family Restaurant this Saturday, Sept 20th at 9am to get together and enjoy each other's company. All are welcome, but please let me know if you can make it, I have reservations for 8 right now, but may need to change this for more or less interest.

If conditions change on Sunday we could maybe get together for a short paddle somewhere, stay tuned.

Thanks, Jenny, for making the hard decision to cancel. This sounds like a great way to celebrate the end of the season & see each other face to face!

I plan on attending & encourage everyone, both old & new members, to join us on Saturday at 9am.

I also hope we can fit in a paddle or two between the raindrops this weekend. My kayak is always in my car.

Please indicate your intent to join us at the Altoona Family Restaurant by replying through the Forum section on the club website. This sends an email to all of us. This is also a great way to communicate an impromptu paddle if the weather cooperates.

I think this'll be the 3rd year of crummy weather for our end-of-seacon paddle. We have a knack for attracting storms for this event! Good call, Jenny. Count me in for the breakfast.
