Rookie Rendezvous
Rob Zich

Good Morning!

Just wanted to clarify that the 4:00 pm start time for the RR is based on when campsites become available. We are in sites 46,47 and 48 (group site). You may certainly arrive before that as sites MAY be available earlier. Kathy and I will be there around 1-2 pm. Steve Connelly will also be there earlier.

We do not have a tight itinerary as so much is predicated on weather and waves. We hope to be doing some rescue training and doing a short shore paddle Thursday late afternoon/ealy evening.

Looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend!

Sonia Anderson

I am once again planning on making jambalaya for dinner on Thursday night. I'm happy to make as much as I need to - just as easy to make it for 20 as for 2! So if you want some, please respond and I'll count you in. Please note - this is a jambalaya only offer, no sides, appetizers or dessert! But I'd love to make some for you if you want. I will be taking advantage of Rob's offer for rescue training on Thursday so it may not be ready until around 7 or so.

Adam Shiel

I'll help eat the jambalaya.

And I've got a box brownie mix I'll cook up for dessert.

Kathy O'Leary

We will participate in your jambalaya, Sonia and make a cabbage salad to share as well.

Karhy

Roxana Reitz

Sonia, I would love to try your jambalaya.

Jenny Liethen

Yes to the Jambalaya!! Thanks Sonia! I can make a dip ahead of time for people to snack on and maybe some veggies too!

Diane Schuknecht

Sonia, I would love Jambalaya. I will bring chocolate chip cookies.

Ruth Lovejoy

Rob, Dale and I won't be able to make it after all. Please open a slot if you have a waitlist. Thanks

RR Fri Dinner; The Beach Club on Madeline Island looks pretty good. It's right on the harbor. They don't take reservations, but the hostess said that it isn't usually a problem to serve a group our size.

We could take the ferry over about 5pm (runs on the 1/2 hr)

Sightseeing, drinks, & dinner

The ferry is $18 round trip. Not sure if it would be advantageous (or possible) to buy tix in advance.

Anybody want to caravan up on Thu?

Roxana Reitz

I am looking forward to Sonia's jambalaya and am planning to bring my dried tomato pesto and crackers as an appetizer.

Kathy O'Leary

Wondering if anyone ended up with a small blue dry bag or two Sea to Summit head nets (in little gold colored bags) after the Rookie trip. Maybe left on one of the picnic tables at Little Sand Bay campground. I am so irresponsible! 😊

Thanks,

Kathy
