Paddles

Looking for a sea kayak to borrow for Rookie Rendezvous. It's for Bill, so needs to be relatively large - he is 6'4". Anyone have an extra that isn't going to be in use? Thanks!

I could do skills training tonight, but Bill isn’t able to get here from Wausau and doesn’t currently have a sea kayak at his disposal. We plan on renting one for him for the rendezvous and I will be borrowing one from Stephe, so if we could do the safety session up in Lake Superior that would be perfect. Could that work?

I believe there are two skills sessions on the calendar. I could be mistaken. However, we can certainly work out adding some "unofficial" sessions for anyone who can't make a scheduled event. Kathy and I could do something at Riverview if needed.

There is also the option of doing some work in thebig lake on Thursday for those very last minute registrants (though we don't recommend waiting until the last minuteto sign up).

I have registered for Rookie Rendezvous, and I believe Steve Connell is once again generously loaning me a kayak. However, I see that Brule Canoe Outfitters rents sea kayaks as well, so I can do that as an alternative. Bill has decided he would like to come too, so we will probably be renting at least one kayak. However, we would love to borrow kayaks for the safety training - either this coming Saturday at Wazee or another time if we have an additional session. Is there any plan for an alternative date? I thought I had heard something about a Wednesday night at Lake Wissota, but couldn't find anything on the website.
