Paddles

Hello,

I have added a calendar event for the paddle on the Red Cedar River on Saturday June 29. Please register if you plan on attending.

Note that I changed the end point to Dunnsville as with the high water, I believe that taking out in Downsville would be slightly to short of a paddle. This will cause the paddle to be 3 to 3.5 hours instead of 1 to 1.5 hours.

The plan for the Thursday June 27, 2024 Paddle is to meet at the Eau Claire County ATV Trail Parking in Augusta off Highway G. https://maps.app.goo.gl/5Ydd7hGmZNFsYKhr5

The plan is to shuttle at 3:15pm, so it would be a good idea to arrive 15-30mins before then so that you are ready to shuttle the boats.

We will shuttle vehicles down to the Boat Ramp on the east side of lake Eau Claire. (E22070 County Road D, Augusta, WI 54722) https://maps.app.goo.gl/SeQhZykvmn7FT8Ey5

Life jackets are required. The water will likely be high and fast-moving with all of the rain we have been having.

I would recommend bringing snacks, water, and a change of clothes.

I am looking to lead several paddles and would like to garner some feedback on dates. I have listed several trips and dates below, that are flexible in terms of what trip happen on what date. Let me know any feedback or preference with dates.

June 24, 2024 - Monday Paddle (approx. 11:30am start) Paddle on Eau Claire River - County Highway G to County Highway SD (3.4 miles)

June 29, 2024 - Morning (approx. 9:30 start) Paddle on Red Cedar - Riverside Park to Downsville (8 miles)

July 27, 2024 - (approx. 10 am start) Paddle on Chippewa and Mississippi River - State Road 35 to Slippery's Bar and Grill [Wabasha, MN] (5 miles)

August 3, 2024 - (approx. 9:30am start) Paddle on Chippewa River - County Highway H to Meridian (9.17 miles)
