What is this?
A day trip to paddle the Bois Brule river. The planned stretch is from Stones Bridge (County Hwy S) to the Winneboujou Landing at County Hwy B. The trip is 4 to 5 hours depending on water levels. There are some class 1 rapids and great natural scenery as well beautiful rustic cabins and homes. Departure from the Lake Hallie Walmart with car pooling recommended. Map Quest says around 2 1/2 hours to drive each way. With the drive, both ends of the shuttle, meal stops, I would expect we would be back at Walmart at around 9 PM. This is a rocky river, use a boat that doesn't mind hitting them once in a while. Glass containers are not allowed on the river.

Meet at the the Lake Hallie Walmart at 7:30 AM. We may be able to move boats to take fewer vehicles. Please compensate your the driver if you are pooling. Bring a lunch and beverage. We will be driving past a Subway in Trego. A change of dry clothes and a towel if you get wet.

There are very few stopping points to exit your boat on this stretch of the river. Usually it is a fishermans' trail. There are pit toilets at the put in and take out.
